Nancy Levinson -
Commissioned Works- Artist Bio

Nancy Levinson is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and currently resides in Phoenix Arizona. She has a Bachelors of Science in interior design from the University of Cincinnati, School of Design, Art and Architecture. Over time she became increasingly interested in color and texture and how the visual arts affected the environment. She was professionally involved in the interior design industry for 6 years before raising a family and became involved with Art Masterpiece in the greater Phoenix and Scottsdale public schools. In her 15 plus years as a docent with Phoenix Art Museum she shared her joy and knowledge of art with patrons and introduced youth of all ages to the wonders of the art. In representing the Phoenix art museum as an outside speakers bureau docent Levinson spoke within community centers and schools. She perused her interest in painting at the Scottsdale Artist School where she studied with nationally renowned artists. Her work has been shown as a featured local artist at Art and Soul Studio, “Artlink’s First Friday” and Art Detour.

Nancy Levinson’s current series of works was a natural progression from her more traditional still life, landscape and figurative paintings. Her passion for art and her love of dogs naturally evolved into her present subject matter. In this new series of work, she has effectively captured her “friend’s” personalities making these paintings uniquely expressive.

More and more, other dog owners who share their love of dogs with Nancy, have asked her to capture those canine personalities on canvas for them. Feel free to contact Nancy about commissioned works at the address below.
