Tisha Kenny - Artist Bio

Tisha Kenny is a health professional, an artist and an Ikebana Floral Designer. She has a background in Nursing, and a Masters Degree in Public Health. She has studied numerous visual art media with a focus primarily on brush painting, studying for 10 years under Lampo Leong. She holds 8 degrees from the Ikenobo School of Ikebana. Her work combines her love of Impressionism with Oriental Brush Painting.

As a health professional, Tisha is committed to validating art and artists as social change agents, working towards the marriage of art and healing. In 1989 Tisha found an award winning project, Health Through Art, *an Alameda County sponsored project that promotes community health with artwork from citizens. In 1999 Ms Kenny was the community educator and arts co-coordinator for ART.RAGE.US. -The Art and Writing of Women with Breast Cancer, co- sponsored by the Breast Cancer Fund, Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

Personally she continues her studies in Brush Painting and Ikebana. Her work is available as original art, prints, cards and gyclees.
